Ficus binnendijkii ‘Alii’

75,00

Ficus binnendijkii ‘Alii’ is an elegant tropical fig with long, narrow, arching leaves in deep dark green. Unlike the broad-leaved rubber tree, this variety has a lighter, more airy presence — the long drooping leaves create the effect of a living green waterfall. Native to Southeast Asia. It grows into a slender tree up to 2 m tall and becomes a refined focal point in any interior.

Place it in bright indirect light — an east- or west-facing window is ideal. Harsh midday sun can scorch the leaves. Water every 7–10 days when the top 3–4 cm of soil has dried out. Do not overwater — always empty the saucer. Avoid draughts and dry heat from radiators; mist the leaves occasionally. Feed once a month from spring through summer.

Avoid moving the pot unnecessarily — like all ficus, Alii dislikes a change of location and may drop some leaves in protest. ⚠ The milky sap is toxic if ingested and may irritate skin — wear gloves when pruning. Keep away from cats and dogs.
