Zantadeshia with pot

€15,00

Calla lily (Zantedeschia) is an elegant bulb plant with large, funnel-shaped blooms in white, cream, pink, or purple. Native to South Africa. In a pot it flowers for several weeks, then goes into dormancy — and with the right care it will bloom again the following year.

Place it in bright indirect light, away from harsh midday sun. Water generously while it is in bloom, keeping the soil evenly moist but never waterlogged — always empty the saucer. Once the flowers fade and the leaves yellow, gradually reduce watering to a minimum: the bulb needs a rest period. Feed every two weeks during active growth with a flowering plant fertiliser.

⚠ All parts of the calla lily are toxic if ingested — they contain calcium oxalate crystals. Keep away from children, cats, and dogs. Wash hands after handling.

Basic bouquet careRemove the wrapping and cut off the transport ties. Trim the stems by 1–2 cm at a 45° angle and place the bouquet in a clean vase. Fill it with water to cover 2/3–3/4 of the stems. Keep leaves and buds out of the water. Change the water and recut the stems daily. Keep the bouquet away from sunlight, heat, drafts, and ripe fruit.
