Philodendron

8,00

Philodendron is one of the most popular tropical houseplants, with large glossy leaves in rich green. It grows quickly, adapts easily to different conditions, and requires very little special care — an ideal choice for beginners. Native to the tropical forests of Central and South America. Depending on the variety it can be climbing or upright.

Place it in bright indirect light or partial shade — philodendron tolerates being kept away from the window well. Direct sun scorches the leaves. Water every 7–10 days when the top layer of soil has dried out. Do not overwater — always empty the saucer. Mist the leaves occasionally in dry rooms. Feed once a month from spring through summer with a universal foliage fertiliser.

Yellow leaves mean too much water; pale leaves mean not enough light. ⚠ Toxic to cats, dogs, and people if ingested — contains calcium oxalate.
