Pelargonium

11,00

Pelargonium (commonly known as geranium) is a classic, highly popular flowering plant native to South Africa. Its defining features are its bright, clustered blooms and slightly fuzzy, often aromatic leaves. This vibrant and hardy plant is a timeless favorite that thrives both on a sunny indoor windowsill and out on a summer balcony.

Place it in the brightest spot you have, including direct sunlight — it needs plenty of light to bloom profusely. Water thoroughly, but always allow the top layer of soil to dry out completely between waterings; it is drought-tolerant but prone to root rot in soggy soil. Misting the leaves is not necessary. Feed every two weeks from spring through autumn with a fertiliser for flowering plants.

If the lower leaves turn yellow and the stems feel mushy, the most likely cause is overwatering. ✓ Toxic to cats and dogs if ingested (can cause stomach upset and vomiting) — keep the plant out of reach of your pets.
