How to take care of flowers
Keeping flowers fresh and preventing premature wilting is very simple if you follow the essential care rules.
Delivered flowers should not remain without water for more than 30 minutes.
Choose a vase where ⅔ of the stems will be inside it. Fill the vase about halfway (a bit more is fine, as long as the leaves do not touch the water). Add one packet of Chrysal flower food to clean water beforehand.
Before placing the bouquet in the water, make a diagonal cut on the stems using pruning shears or a sharp, clean knife.
The ideal place for a bouquet is a moderately cool room with a constant flow of fresh air. At night, you can place the flowers in a cooler spot, such as a balcony (at temperatures above +5°C).
Do not place the bouquet:
near heating appliances
in direct sunlight
next to fruits and vegetables
in a draft
Change the water daily, remembering to clean the vase with a chlorine-containing solution and trim the stems.
For a flower arrangement gifted in a basket or box, add water as the floral foam dries out, in three to four spots every 1–2 days.
